Affiliate Program Terms

The program is operated by Dr. Jan Philip Wahle and Lars Kaesberg, Siedlungsweg 24, 37124 Rosdorf, Germany (“we”, “us”). You must be at least 18 years old, able to enter a binding agreement, and provide complete and accurate identity, address, channel, contact, and payout information.

The program is intended for genuine creators, educators, researchers, publishers, communities, and organizations with an audience relevant to academic writing or research. We may approve or reject any application in our reasonable discretion and may request supporting information.

Approved affiliates receive a unique link containing an affiliate code. A qualifying purchase is attributed on a last valid affiliate click basis when a new customer completes the purchase within 60 days of that click. A later valid affiliate click replaces an earlier one. Browser settings, consent choices, blocked or deleted cookies, different browsers or devices, and technical failures can prevent attribution.

The direct link can be recognized during the current page visit. The 60-day first-party cookie is stored only where the visitor has given the consent required by applicable law. We do not accept manual or retrospective attribution requests where our records did not capture a valid affiliate code at checkout.

The standard rate is 50% of the final product amount actually paid, after any discount, for a genuinely new customer’s first qualifying self-serve Check My Thesis plan purchase. Upgrades, repeat purchases, renewals, enterprise or custom contracts, free activity, taxes or fees charged separately, and purchases attributed to the separate customer-referral program do not qualify unless we agree in writing.

No commission is earned on your own purchase; purchases by a person or entity under common control with you; an existing or former customer; a fraudulent, test, duplicate, refunded, disputed, charged-back, or otherwise reversed transaction; or a transaction generated in breach of these terms. Partial refunds may reduce or eliminate the related commission.

A recorded commission remains pending for at least 30 days while we check payment status, refunds, disputes, duplicate accounts, and abuse signals. Eligible balances are scheduled for payout monthly through PayPal after the affiliate reaches a minimum eligible balance of €25 (or the equivalent in the recorded sale currency). Smaller balances roll forward.

You are responsible for maintaining a PayPal account that can receive the payment and for any PayPal conversion or receiving fees, tax registrations, invoices, declarations, and taxes applicable to your earnings. We may hold a payout while information is incomplete, while a transaction is under review, or where payment would violate law or a payment-provider rule. A commission paid before a refund, dispute, or violation is discovered may be offset against later earnings or reclaimed.

The affiliate dashboard shows our current ledger for your account, including qualifying referrals and pending, eligible, paid, rejected, or reversed commission. We also schedule an email summary for the previous calendar month with a one-time dashboard link. Delivery of a statement is informational and is not a guarantee of payment; the validated ledger and these terms control. You must keep sign-in links private and notify us promptly if you believe your email account or dashboard access has been compromised.

Every promotion must clearly and conspicuously disclose the commercial relationship before or next to the affiliate link, using plain language such as “I may earn a commission if you buy through this link.” You must comply with applicable advertising, consumer-protection, endorsement, privacy, email, and platform rules, including the rules applying in each country you target.

Statements about Check My Thesis must be accurate, current, and based on your honest experience. You may not promise grades, institutional acceptance, guaranteed detection accuracy, guaranteed citation correction, or any result we do not expressly promise on our website. You must distinguish our citation verification from plagiarism checks and probabilistic AI-text detection.

You must not, directly or through another person or system:

• self-refer, create duplicate identities, or coordinate sham purchases;
• stuff cookies, use forced clicks or redirects, adware, toolbars, pop-unders, hidden frames, or otherwise set attribution without an intentional visitor click;
• send unsolicited messages, scrape contact details, or violate anti-spam rules;
• publish false reviews, fabricated testimonials, fake scarcity, misleading discounts, or inaccurate coupon claims;
• bid on “Check My Thesis”, confusing misspellings, or our domains in paid search, or use them in domains, account names, or ads that imply you are us;
• place links on unapproved coupon, cashback, browser-extension, file-sharing, piracy, adult, hateful, illegal, or deceptive properties;
• generate low-quality mass pages, comments, forum posts, or AI-generated spam chiefly to capture affiliate traffic;
• interfere with tracking, checkout, security, pricing, or fraud controls.

Check My Thesis is a revision and research-integrity tool. You may not promote it through essay mills, contract-cheating or ghostwriting services, exam cheating, fabricated research, “undetectable AI” services, or instructions intended to evade academic-integrity systems. Content should encourage users to verify sources, review automated results, and follow their institution’s rules.

While approved, you receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the affiliate link and any materials we expressly provide solely to promote Check My Thesis under these terms. You may not alter our logo in a misleading way, register confusing names or marks, imply employment, agency, sponsorship, or exclusivity, or sublicense our materials. All goodwill remains with us.

We may review traffic sources and request evidence of placement and disclosure. We may reject a transaction, suspend links or payouts, or terminate participation immediately for suspected fraud, legal risk, misleading conduct, material breach, brand harm, or security concerns. Either party may end participation at any time. Valid eligible commissions earned before ordinary termination remain payable, but no commission is payable for a breach or abusive transaction.

We may change the rate, attribution window, eligible products, minimum payout, validation period, or these terms for future clicks or purchases. Material changes will be posted here and, where reasonably practical, sent to the affiliate email on file. Changes do not retroactively reduce a commission already recorded from a qualifying purchase, except where that purchase is later refunded, disputed, fraudulent, or in breach.

We do not guarantee traffic, conversions, uninterrupted tracking, minimum earnings, continued availability of any plan, or acceptance of any applicant. To the extent permitted by law, the program and tracking are provided as available. Our aggregate liability arising from the program is limited to the unpaid valid commissions owed to you during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim. This does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health.

You are responsible for your content and promotion and will indemnify us against third-party claims and reasonable costs caused by your unlawful promotion, misleading statements, infringement, spam, privacy breach, or material violation of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.

We process application, payout, review, and transaction-ledger data as described in our Privacy Policy. You must handle any personal data collected through your own activities under applicable data-protection law and must not receive customer personal data from us merely because a commission was recorded.

German law applies, excluding conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you participate as a merchant, legal entity under public law, or special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is our place of business.
